Kelly Rowland gave another explanation for defending Chris Brown as the crowd booed when she announced him as the winner of the Favorite Male R&B Artist at the 2022 American Music Awards.
The 41-year-old singer was asked about people booing Chris and she said, “I believe that grace is very real.”
“And we all need a dose of it. Before we point fingers at anybody, we should realize how grateful we are, for every moment that we get. For even our own things that we have, I think its important to be human, we are humans,” Kelly told TMZ.
When asked if Chris Brown needed to be forgiven, Kelly said, “We all need to be forgiven for anything we could be doing, anything that we’re thinking. We all come up short in some sort of way. And grace is real. And we are humans, and everybody deserves grace. Period.”
At the 2022 AMAs, Kelly was presenting the awards and when she heard the boos, told the crowd to “chill out.”
In the past, Rihanna has addressed Chris Brown‘s domestic abuse against her, noting that she has had to be punished over and over again for it.
